چکیده

Today’s enterprises need to be responsive to competitors, the market, organizational changes and changing customer requirements and need to response immediately. Agile enterprises are able to scope with increasing changes, uncertainty and unpredictability in the business environment. Although, the original concept of an agile manufacturing was popularized 1991 by the Iacocca Institute (Iacocca 1991), there is still a lack in supporting agility by information systems (Mutschler, Reichert et.al. 2006; Rymer and Moore 2006). Several workflow management systems exists, which mostly provide process definition tools that presents the knowledge about the process using standard modeling elements like activities, roles or control flows elements (Mendling and Neumann 2005). This is suitable for production oriented processes, but it is ill-suited to deal with changes (van der Aalst and Jablonski 2000). Because, change is difficult, complex and risky according ABSTRACT

Deterministic Measurement of Reliability and Performance Using Explicit Colored Petri Net in Business Process Execution Language and Eflow

Today there are many techniques for web service compositions. Evaluation of quality parameters has great impact on evaluation of final product. BPEL is one of those techniques that several researches have been done on its evaluation. However, there are few researches on evaluation of QoS in eflow. This research tries to evaluate performance and reliability of eflow and BPEL through mapping them...

Making BPEL Flexible

The Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is a process modeling language which uses standard control constructs to define a process flow. But today enterprises have to be flexible and adaptable to cope with increasing change, uncertainty and unpredictability. Automating agile business processes is still a challenge as they are normally knowledge intensive, little automated but compliance r...

Making BPEL Flexible – Adapting in the Context of Coordination Constraints Using WS-BPEL

While WS-BPEL is emerging as the prominent language for modeling executable business processes, it provides limited support for designing flexible processes. An important need of adaptive processes is for concurrent activities in the process to respect coordination constraints. These require that concurrent activities coordinate their behaviors in response to events otherwise the process may be...

Concept and Implementation for Integrating User Interface Descriptions into BPEL Processes

The Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) is becoming more and more important for companies which want to automatize their workflows. Beyond automation, real-world business processes usually involve human user interaction. However, the recent BPEL specification lacks support for that. This thesis presents an extension-based approach for user interaction in BPEL processes. A new BPEL activi...
